Doug created and coordinated all the Special Effects and Production Design on this film as well as production coordinated. We had a lot of cool practical effects including some special snake prosthetics designed by Christina Puff of Black Bird SPFX, a giant snake puppet fabricated by Chris Hillman, Snake Tattoos Designed by Mark Quinnette, fangs provided by Tom Velez of CustomFangs.com and Snake Eye contacts designed by Kevin Carter of 9mmsfx.com!

Along with a team of local assistance in North Carolina brought together by director Joshua Coates, we worked for 13 days straight in February of 2015 all over the Raleigh area under intense weather conditions to shoot the movie. ‘But Deliver Us From Evil’ is now available from Lionsgate and Indican Pictures.

Lilith, Adam’s first wife according to Jewish mysticism, seeks revenge against all of God’s creation. God expelled Lilith from the Garden of Eden because of her refusal to obey Adam, the man. Scorned, she returns present day with a vengeance against man and his offspring. Pastors, Preachers and other men of god are meeting their untimely demise in a most gory fashion. Detective Reid Mackenzie (RJ Konner) sees a connection to past cases, and the trail of murder leads to a College Campus in Atlanta where the orphaned Jeremiah Young (Grant Harvey) has just begun attending. Often the outcast amongst his peers, Jeremiah befriends the goth girl Sonja (Cynthia Rodriguez) after having strange premonitions related to Sonja’s past. Just as Sonja and Jeremiah seem to connect, a new girl, Lilith (Alice Rose) enters the picture and everyone’s lives are turned upside down. Truths are revealed, pasts are uncovered and inner demons become all too real.
